At Kalas, we work with a wide range of customers, all united by one thing – the desire to create custom-designed cycling apparel that reflects their needs and identity. In our series Customer Stories, we introduce those who have taken this journey with us. This time, we look at our collaboration with the Czech technology platform ROUVY, which connects the world of cycling with modern technology.
Technology that brings reality closer
ROUVY was founded in 2017 in Vimperk in South Bohemia and has since grown into a globally used indoor cycling platform. It allows riders to train on smart indoor trainers along real routes from around the world. By combining authentic video footage with data and augmented reality elements, it is able to very accurately simulate outdoor riding.
Today, the platform offers thousands of routes across more than 70 countries, hundreds of training plans, and collaborates with prestigious cycling and triathlon events. Another major milestone came in 2026, when ROUVY announced a strategic partnership with Zwift. The aim of this collaboration is to further develop indoor cycling and offer users a broader range of training experiences while maintaining the independent operation of both platforms.
Cycling as part of company life
For ROUVY, sport – and cycling in particular – is not just a product, but a natural part of the company culture. The team includes active cyclists, mountain bikers, and triathletes who not only develop the platform but also use it on a daily basis.
Group rides, internal challenges, and participation in races help strengthen relationships among colleagues and create an environment where work naturally blends with a passion for sport. The ROUVY brand is thus visible not only in the virtual world but also on real-world roads.
The paths of ROUVY and Kalas first crossed within community projects. The collaboration gained a more significant dimension in 2024 during the “12M Community Challenge,” in which winners of individual challenges received cycling jerseys from Kalas.
However, the ROUVY team’s experience with Kalas apparel was not new. As part of the company’s rebranding, the marketing team ordered custom cycling kits, which were subsequently tested in direct comparison with products from other suppliers.

Connecting multiple dimensions
The collaboration has naturally expanded into internal company activities as well. At the end of 2024, the initiative “Fulfil Your Sporting Dream” was launched, supporting employees in achieving their sporting goals.
Participants in the programme use Kalas cycling kits and functional apparel during training sessions and group rides. The project thus connects several important dimensions – company culture, personal motivation, and the community aspect of cycling.

Fast, smooth, simple
An important role in the collaboration is also played by the ordering process and communication itself. “We particularly appreciate the communication with the Kalas sales department. We have repeatedly ordered company cycling jerseys, and the entire process ran smoothly. We value the professional approach and the quick response to our requirements,” says Petra Waltman from ROUVY.
The collaboration with ROUVY, an indoor cycling platform, confirms for us that a well-functioning partnership is not based only on a quality product, but also on reliable communication and a shared approach to cycling. We are pleased that our apparel is used both in community projects and in the everyday operations of the company, as well as through the hundreds of training plans ROUVY offers its users. And we are glad to be part of stories where cycling is not just a sport, but a natural part of life and work.
